When you watch your next professional sports game, look for this lens on the sidelines. Fantastic color. One of the sharpest lenses in its class, even wide open. Fast focusing. IS unit allows sharp photos as slow as 1/40, sometimes even slower. Heavy. If you are using this for a long time, you should consider getting a monopod or a tripod – your arms will thank you! This lens will draw many curious people when used in public and people will ask you for your business card. Includes hood and hard case.

IS unit allows sharp photos as slow as 1/80, sometimes even slower. This is a very heavy lens. The strongest among us can handhold it for a few minutes, but most people will want a secure tripod. If you need high-power pops and very short recycling times, use a Quantum Turbo battery pack. This pack will recharge a 580EX from a full power pop in about 1.5 seconds, and capacity is huge – in the neighborhood of 400-500 full power flashes on a full charge, depending on usage. Remember that flashes will overheat if you do too many full power pops – keep it to 20 or less at a time, and then let the flash cool off for 10-15 minutes. To check the flash head, just touch it with your hand – if it feels warm to the touch, time for the flash to have a rest. Includes the charger and the CZ cord for connecting to a Canon 580EX Mark 1 or Mark 2 flash.

We regret that this equipment is no longer available. It was stolen by Dane Darden, who also stole the 300mm 2.8 IS L lens. We are waiting for him to resurface after going to jail.
